If you heard our last Radio show #241http://media.libsyn.com/media/hometowntales/HT-Podcast-241.mp3 you may have heard Bryan mention some unfortunate news. A listener to the show for some time, Doug "from Japan" Hornrick, recently lost his wife to breast cancer. We posted her obituary on the blog.

That being said, Doug asked us to remind everyone to get screened for breast cancer, get tested, be aware. Cancer is pretty crazy and is a fascinating disease. If you catch it early, things can be just fine but if not it will be lethal.

Anyway, on top of all that. We did just want to truly say how much it does mean to us that people actual listen to our show. Speaking for myself and I'm sure Bryan. It really bummed me out to hear this news. I've never met Doug or his wife but he and his family have definitely been on my mind since I heard.

Thanks everyone for listening. Although we might not always be able to respond to every email or posting we do truly appreciate and feel a connection with y'all.

Peace out.

I would like to offer my sincerest condolences in Yoshiko's loss. I personally know the feeling of losing someone to cancer both of family and friend. I wish you all the best in your emotional recovery and I hope one day that you can look to the happy memories more fondly than the ones that lead up to your loss. Speedy happiness ...

Sorry Paul. This has been a long time coming. I didn't know this was printed in the forums. Thank you so much for your comment. It is very much appreciated.
