anyone remember the story of the beautiful woman whom had a ribbon around her neck and upon her husband's curiosity found out why she had a ribbon?
Oh, man, I can vividly remember specific instances of the telling of this story on the playground when I was but a child. Lovely memories, really. Thanks for reminding me!
I remember being a really little kid and hearing that story, and then for some reason I got into my head that "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" was about that tale. One day it came on TV and my dad was watching it, and I decided I was going to be brave and watch it with him. Needless to say, it wasn't what I was expecting.
Every time I see the subject, I keep thinking it's about the song about the scotsman's kilt...."I don't know where ye been lad, but I see you've won first prize."
They made a movie out of that, and I can't for the life of me remember the name, although I am pretty sure the title had nothing to do with ribbons. Aw, this is going to bother me all week.
LMAO, ok I remember reading that story in a book called In A Dark Dark Room. Since Halloween is around the corner Barns & Noble has a endless selection of scary books. I saw it there and i had to buy it for my beautiful daughter. One day when she can say more than just "Ma" or "Dadadada" or "Atah" she can read it. I also remember that this was the first time I read about the Vanishing hitchhiker. Great book with so many memories of my youth.
