Friendly Ghosts

Friendly Ghosts

Was interested to read the story of the last hangman of Rochdale - http://www.rochdaleobserver.co.uk/news/s/1031000_the_haunting_hangman

You often hear stories about spirits that make people uncomfortable but have you heard many stories of friendly or positive spirits?

My mother-in-law has told me about the presence she's felt in the kitchen of her house, that dates back to the victorian period. She says that at times of stress or sadness she has felt a comforting hand on her shoulder even though no-one else is in the room, or even the house.

I have an aunt who claims to have seen ghosts and angels on multiple occasions. One time, she was at a murder trial of a friend of the family and she said she say the ghost of the victim standing next to the defendant during the trial. Another time she said she was tested by an angel in a grocery store when the angel pretended not to have enough money to buy food. She said after she gave the angel some money, the angel cried praise the lord and then vanished after she paid for the food and walked out the door.
